Ash & Elm Dance Co. Youth company auditions!

Ash & Elm is looking for youth dancers, ages 12-19, to perform on the Youth Company 2024. The Youth Company will learn one youth piece choreographed by a special Ash & Elm guest and one piece to be performed WITH Ash & Elm Dance Company dancers, choreographed by a director! Both of which will be performed in Ash & Elm's annual Spring concert. This is an exciting opportunity to step our of the studio and school dance setting and step into a professional dance setting!

Saturday, January 27, 2024, 5p (*registration begins at 4:30p) at All That & Jazz (5119 Waterway Dr., Dumfries, VA)

REQUIREMENTS:

-Must be between 12 and 19 years of age at the time of the audition

-To be considered, dancers must be available for rehearsals from February through April 2024

-Must be available for tech rehearsal the evening of Friday, April 26 and for the performances on Saturday, April 27. There will be a matinee and an evening performance on the 27th. 

-Recommended to have dance training and performance experience (training in contemporary, modern and ballet is preferred but not required)

-Must be comfortable with partnering, floor work and improvisation
